A special ten-day course will be held at South Hampstead High School,
Maresfield Gardens, NW3, from 14-18 July and 21-25 July 2008. The course
is bookable for 8 to 14 year
olds who will be put in groups or pairs with children of the same age.
Students will be entered for Trinity Guildhall Performance Arts Group or Duo Drama Examinations.
This involves working on extracts from published plays or poems. Over
the ten days participants will work on the performance technique
required for drama examinations while also attending daily rehearsals
for the examination set pieces.
Parents will be
invited to watch the final Dress Rehearsals for all the
examination work. An examiner from Trinity Guildhall will
come to South Hampstead, on the final day of the course, to mark the examinations.
The results will be available from September and students will be
notified by post.
Successful
students will receive individual certificates. Medals are awarded for Grade
6 Duo exams. Trinity Guildhall Drama Examinations are
recognised qualifications in Drama and can be listed on all application
forms. Level 3 Trinity Guildhall Examination results are now able to
be converted into U.C.A.S. points and therefore may be recorded on
university application forms.
