Dramatots for 3 & 4 year olds at The Winch on Mondays

 

A 4-week introductory Dramatots course, 3.30pm-4.15pm on 24 Sept, 1 Oct, 8 Oct & 15 Oct in The Mandelson Room at The Winch, Old Winchester Arms, 21 Winchester Rd, London NW3 3NR. Class fees: £40.00. 

A special introduction to acting and drama with exciting dramatic technique games and exercises, fun-based creative acting activities, stories and plays each week. Our carefully selected, age-appropriate creative activities will develop voice work and self-confidence.  We encourage all our children to refine their acting skills at their own pace. Once the children have attended the introductory course they are welcome to enrol for the second block of classes that will he held after half term. Sessions will then continue to be held in the spring and summer terms. There are 12 places available in the group and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Please note, all classes are drop-off sessions.

NEW CLASSES STARTING IN JANUARY!
Dramarama for 8-10 year olds at St Andrew’s Church, NW3
Thursdays, 4.30pm - 5.30pm, starting 15 January

Exciting drama classes will combine drama technique exercises with creative activities and drama games. Sessions will develop voice technique, performance awareness and acting skills. Dramarama offers a range of Performing Arts classes including Trinity College Drama Exam classes. Children will be able to explore drama exam exercises so they can decide if they would like us to prepare for them for exam work in the spring term. Alternatively, we can run weekly drama workshop sessions which combine technique work with rehearsals for an end of term presentation. There are 1 places available in the class.

Saturday Morning Performing Arts Classes
Starting Saturday 15 September 2018...


DRAMATOTS
For children aged 3.5-4.5 years (in nursery)
10am-11am

Every Saturday during term-time at: Holy Trinity School, Trinity Walk, off Maresfield Gardens, NW3 5SQ

Specialised workshop sessions invite boys and girls to take part in exciting drama games and creative exercises, which aim to develop voice work, focus, concentration and confidence. Our carefully devised drama activities also encourage each child to develop their performance skills at their own pace. Each week, a special play is devised and each child is able to play a specially created role. Parents are invited to come and watch an ‘open class’ for the final session of term.

*Children attending Dramatots must be aged at least 3 and a half years old and have attended nursery school for at least one full term and must be toilet trained. We cannot accept children still wearing nappies.

NB: If a Saturday morning Drama class is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions which could affect the health and safety of children, parents will not be refunded by Dramarama for the missed session.
If Dramarama cancels a class for any reason other than adverse weather conditions/health and safety concerns, parents/carers will be contacted at the earliest convenience, and the missed class will be re-scheduled where possible.


STAGE ONE DRAMA
For children aged 4-6 years (in Reception & Yr1)
10am-11am

Specialised workshop sessions invite boys and girls to take part in exciting drama games and creative exercises, which aim to develop voice work, focus, concentration and confidence. Our carefully devised drama activities also encourage each child to develop their performance skills at their own pace. After Half-Term, our young performers will rehearse a special play for presentation to parents during the last session of term. 

NB: If a Saturday morning Drama class is cancelled due to adverse weather conditions which could affect the health and safety of children, parents will not be refunded by Dramarama for the missed session.
If Dramarama cancels a class for any reason other than adverse weather conditions/health and safety concerns, parents/carers will be contacted at the earliest convenience, and the missed class will be re-scheduled where possible.


STREET DANCE
For children aged 5-6 and 7-11 years
7-11yrs: 10am-11am, 5-6yrs: 11am-12noon

Exciting dance routines will be learnt during the term and presented to family & friends during the last ‘open class’ session of term.

DRAMA EXAM CLASSES
For children aged 7-10 and 11-14 years
11am-12noon

We are now taking bookings for the Autumn term, starting September 2018

Weekly classes offer 7-15 year olds the chance to take Trinity College Drama Exams in pairs or groups of three or more. 

Exam work begins in January and comprises a scripted extract from a published play combined with poetry, mime, movement & devised work. Parents are invited to watch a special rehearsal of the exam pieces in June.  The exams will take place at Holy Trinity School in July.

After-school drama workshop, drama exam, musical theatre and street dance classes are held in schools exclusively for their pupils.

NB: If an after-school drama class is cancelled due to school closure (for example, due to adverse weather conditions) parents will not be refunded by Dramarama for the missed session. If Dramarama cancels a class for any reason, parents/carers will be contacted immediately, and the missed class will be re-scheduled, or the time will be 'made up' with longer subsequent classes during the term.
