Dear Parents,
We look forward to seeing your child next week at our Summer Holiday Dramarama Camp!
Please read the following information before the start of the camp and ensure that other adults dropping off and collecting on your behalf have this information too.
Drop Off Information
Children can be dropped off any time from 9.15am, for a 9.30am start. Please drop off between the school gates and the Everyman Cinema. If you'd like to drop off from 9am, please let us know in advance.
There are other camps running at the school next week, so please only leave your child with a member of Dramarama staff, who will be wearing Dramarama t-shirts.
Please do not come on-site or enter the school premises without a member of Dramarama staff being present.
On arrival, please state your child's full name, so that we can ensure that they are signed-in on our register.
If you are running late, please email info@dramarama.co.uk, so that a member of our team can be waiting at the drop-off point when you arrive.
Collection Information
Collection is at 3pm prompt. Please collect from the same point as you dropped off.
PLEASE NOTE: We do not offer a 'Late Collection' service, and our staff cannot stay beyond the collection time, as they have other commitments. As such, if you are running late for collection, please arrange for another parent/adult to collect on your behalf, and inform us of this by emailing info@dramarama.co.uk
What your child should bring each day
Snack & Lunch Break
We have two breaks during each day - a morning snack break and a lunch break. Please ensure that all food provided is nut-free and sesame-free and is in clearly named containers that your child can open and close. Please note, some houmous and pesto contains sesame/pine nuts, please check this before including in your child's food. Children are not permitted to share food.
Recommended food for snack time: biscuits, sliced fruit, a small yoghurt, dried fruit, cheese snacks.
Recommended food for lunchtime: sandwiches, sliced fruit and vegetables, cucumber and carrots batons. You are welcome to include a treat/dessert too and we will ensure that other food is eaten first.
If someone else is making your child's lunch, please pass this information on to ensure that they do not include peanut butter/Nutella sandwiches etc., and also provide the recommended amount of food each day.
Please slice any food items that may pose a choking hazard (eg. grapes, sausages, cherry tomatoes, etc.)
Please ensure that your child's name label is clearly visible on the outside of their bag or lunchbox.
If your child's food is in a flask, please also provide cutlery.
Please also provide a named, refillable water bottle – this will be replenished regularly during the day.
Lunchtimes are fully supervised, and we encourage children to eat all their food - we will let you know if food is uneaten for any reason. Please note, we are not able to heat or refrigerate food.
If we notice that your child is not eating their food we well let you know so that you can provide alternatives for the rest of the camp.
Clothing
Your child should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes; please ensure that any removable clothing is clearly named (cardigans, jackets, sun hats etc.). This could be written in pen on a label.
All children are welcome to attend wearing dressing-up costumes - this is optional.
If your child is in Pre-Reception, please provide a change of clothes, including underwear and socks, just in case of an accident. This will be returned on their last day.
Please ensure your child has applied sun cream daily.
Personal Items
We are sorry but children are not allowed to bring toys or special personal belongings to the camp - just in case they get lost!
Please note that scooters, bikes, or pushchairs cannot be left on site for the duration of the camp.
Health & Safety
All Dramarama camps are drop-off sessions. Parents/carers cannot come on-site to access the school's facilities e.g. toilets.
If your child unfortunately begins to show any signs of being poorly, please do not bring them to the camp. This includes a fever/temperature, runny nose, cough, sickness or diarrhoea. This is to ensure that your child has the best possible experience at Dramarama, and to prevent bugs from being spread to the other children. If your child cannot attend due to illness, we will provide a (pro-rata) credit note for all days missed, valid for a year, to join at a future camp.
Please see our full Safeguarding Policy here: www.dramarama.co.uk/safeguarding - this also includes our Extreme Weather Policy.
Contact Information
If you need to inform us of any additional authorised collectors or contact information once the camp has started, please tell the Drama Teacher in the morning when you drop-off, and they will add the information to their register.
To ensure effective communication we create a Dramarama Whatsapp group for the duration of the camp, so that relevant general information can be shared quickly and with ease. We also like to share photos of the children, and update you daily with their activities. We will include the number provided on your booking form in the Whatsapp group.
Please let us know if you'd like to add additional numbers.
If your child is only attending for selected days, you may still receive daily updates on the days that they are not at camp. You will receive via the Whatsapp group details and priority booking information for the next camp.
If you need to contact Dramarama during the week, please email info@dramarama.co.uk – emails will be checked regularly, and we will reply as quickly as possible.
Looking forward to a fun and creative Dramarama camp!
Best wishes,
Jessica Grant
Principal, Dramarama
